3D Television sets

Movies are now shot in 3D giving the viewer a real-life experience. They offer a view that brings the image closer to the eye of the viewer and for a moment he or she sees no TV set nor the 3D glasses but a scene happening right in front them.

Most TV manufactures in the recent times are going for Three-dimensional effect enabled models from their innovations. The models display images in a high definition (HD).

Manufacturers are using the active shutter technology to remodel their already existing models of TV sets to bring into function the 3D effect on them. They increase the refresh rate at above 120Hz to allow HD capability. The method requires the viewer to have a pair of those glasses to view such images.

The other new method of developing 3D TV sets is by using the lenticular technology. They have a unique transparent sheet with lenses in cylindrical design. Those lenses reflect light to different angles thus having two different images to each eye. The lenticular technology can have its TV viewed without any glasses. It is called the auto-stereoscopic method of 3D.

The TV sets are very expensive considering the viewer will not need to buy 3D glasses to use on these TVs. This is a future technology that will change the whole movie world. New technologies are still being developed into the existing ones but what customers need to know is that, 3D TV is only an illusion created in the mind when viewing.
