Convincing Website Owners Exchange Links

For Dutch websites wishing to increase their rankings, their SEO (search engine optimization) efforts should include building links (or builden links) with other popular websites. This linkbuilden strategy includes choosing websites that cater to your desired audience, and would probably include other Dutch websites as well.

Once you have chosen the websites, you should contact (usually by email) the website owners and offer to exchange links with them. To make for a convincing argument, make certain that your own website contains original and relevant content (articles, videos, etc) that would be of interest to the website owners, and to the visitors of their websites as well.

The way you make contact with the site owners should be unique and personal, to differentiate your message from the rest of the spam a website usually receives. If you have to, send a letter or a fax message, or even call them in person to demonstrate the seriousness of your offer. Fellow Dutch website owners may be interested to share links with one of their own people.

Your message to the website owner should list down all the possible benefits that such an exchange of links should generate. Show them a copy of the webpage where their link will be posted, and tell them of the number of clicks that can come to their website because of this. Make sure that you make it easy for them to agree; send the exact link they are to use, and put in HTML already so all they have to do is to cut and paste the link on their website. Also, tell them the exact URL of their website where your link could be placed and still fit with the website design.

If you make it easy for them to agree, it makes it more difficult for them to refuse your reasonable and mutually beneficial request.
