Educational Ngo in Mumbai

Mumbai is among the largest and richest cities in India. However, it also houses some of the poorest communities in the sub-continent. The rapid growth of pre-urban shanties in Mumbai has had a hand in this. The demand for Free education in India has again resurfaced due to this population burst. Even though several India NGO’s are involved in providing education, it seems never to be enough and fulfilling the tasks which they are doing. Demand for quality education is ever on the rise, with unscrupulous educational institutes exploiting the poor even more. Most of them are always not paying much attention whenever they go seeking for education.

Mentioning of a large city like Mumbai brings in mind the idea of slums and Slum children. This has been a menace all over the developing and even some of the developed countries. The government alone is not able to deal with this problem. Urgent help is always in need. That is way educational Ngo’s are encouraged to be set up by various players in the industry so that the majority of the poor children may get to have an education which would benefit them in the future.

Apart from formal education, other non-formal forms of education are being offered too by this Ngo. These include provision of information about certain infectious diseases, diets and farming practices. Farming education is mostly provided to those that live in the rural areas but very adjacent to Mumbai city. The work done by them is really encouraging.
