Eye lid lift surgery – Look beautiful now

The eye lid lift surgery is a common form of surgery undertaken today. The surgery is conducted for both aesthetic purpose and to correct a medical condition. The surgery was usually conducted on older people with drooping eyelids that can obscure vision. However, an increasing number of young people are undergoing the surgery for cosmetic purposes. Over time, fats get accumulated in the upper and lower lid of the eyes. This causes droopy eyes and excessive baggage under the eyes that can hamper an individual’s peripheral vision, which is essential for reading and driving. An age of a person can be determined from their eyes. The skin around the eye lids are very delicate and thin, and usually the first place that shows the signs of aging. The surgery involves modifying and removing excessive fat around the eyes so that you look much younger.

The medical term used for the surgery is blepharoplasty. In the eye lift surgery, a surgeon makes an incision in the outer or inner lids of the eyes. The incision made in the inner lids does not leave any visible scars. However, incisions made on the outer lid leave a mark and are necessary to remove extra fat. Apart from removing additional fat, the surgery also tightens and strengthens muscle and tendons around the eye. The recovery period varies depending on individual case. A person might encounter severe swelling and bruising after the surgery. The after effect might be alarming at first but usually the swelling diminishes in a week or two.  You may even want to try using a boric acid eye wash to ensure no infections occur.
