Identifying Different Dog Health Problems
You might not realize this in the beginning but caring for a dog is real work. It is not just running around and playing fetch. Owning a dog is a lot of work, and if you do not know what to do, you will really have a hard time. There is so much that needs to be done, and the caring does not end with giving it a bath and feeding it.
As the master and owner, it is your responsibility to know these things, so take time to learn more about your pet. There is more to dog owning than taking your pet to dog obedience training because there are several dog health problems that you should address as well.
Dogs can face the same illnesses as human beings. Do you know that dogs can suffer from depression, diabetes, cancer and arthritis? There are actually more illnesses that can affect your dog’s health and knowing how to deal with these, just like in humans, will be your best solution. Here are examples of conditions that you should watch out for. Some of these are minor issues, but some can be quite serious:
- Dog incontinence
- Mucus or blood in stool
- Heat stroke
- Chocolate poisoning
- Dermatitis and rashes on dogs
- Cherry eye and water eyes in dogs
- Ear infections and hematoma in ears
- Dog vomiting blood
- Irritable bowel syndrome, constipation and puppy diarrhea
